From time to time we have events to either fellowship, celebrate or raise money for charities and organisations as God's Spirit leads us. These events are organised either by the Church or by the Home Groups.

In November 2016, Derrick and Gayle celebrated 25 years in the ministry. A special meeting was held on the 20th November with guest speaker John Scholtz to celebrate the transition from humble beginnings in Ayliff Street to Plumbago Street. Carla-Rae Hagemann performed a dance and a poem written by Di Smuts, one of the first members was read. After the service the guests and congregation were treated to tea under a marquee tent set up at the rear of the church. Some of our regular annual events are:

Day to Honour Israel

One Sunday each year, at the beginning of the Jewish new Year, after a 21 day Daniel Fast, we have a Joyous Celebration and the Offering taken is sent to a non-profit evangelical ministry which specifically cares for the poor and needy in Israel, whether they are Holocaust survivors, new immigrants, soldiers in the army or orphaned children.

Potjie Competition

Each year we hold a potjiekos competition to raise funds for St Luke’s Old Frail Care and Children’s Home in Grahamstown.

It's a fun filled family day where our members fellowship together whilst providing for the needy at St Luke's.
